In Her Words

I started in the entertainment industry as an actress doing TV series such as The Young Doctors' and 'Prisoner' and also worked my way through most of the flops that were aired around that time. I won the lead in a TV series called 'Fire' then proudly conquered breakfast radio in 1997 finishing the years No.1 rating breakfast show in Melbourne. I was then offered my first TV hosting gig by a show called Sex/Life. I said "double or nothing' to the money offer because I wasn't sure I really wanted to do it. Clearly the money came over the line and so too did years of trying to recover from it. Oy vay!

I was already fairly well known in the music scene, being one of the founding members of pop band The Chantoozies, had guested in nearly every soap Australia had to offer at the time, hosted the first ever televised Gay and Lesbian Madi gras and hosted '40 years of Television' both for Network 10; It was time to try my hand at musical theatre. I spent the next two years touring with Grease the Arena Spectacular' then straight on to playing Janet in Paul Dainty's The New Rocky Horror Show. I then completed a national tour of Don't Dress for Dinner' with Dennis Waterman and Jon English.

My greatest claim to fame was a guest appearance in Bryan Brown's Twisted Tales playing opposite Academy Award winner Geoffrey Rush...Who I screen pashed.

I have enjoyed many guest roles including Stingers, Blue Heelers, Pizza, Houso's, Neighbours, Underbelly's Infiltration and most recently Jack Irish to name a few. In the film department, I stared opposite Radha Mitchel, Susannah York and Dominique Purcell in the feature film Visitors'. I was fortunate enough to guest in Jack Irish, die in Dr Blake and most recently completed a national regional tour of Laura Eason's, Sex with Strangers with the amazingly talented Samuel Johnson. I have spent the last 4 years putting my heart and soul into my acting classes at 16th Street including Masterclasses with both Larry Moss and Ivanna Chubuck, still, tour with The Chantoozies and MC many corporate events.
